Need help again! Gold Verwundetenabzeichen and death card

    Hello all,

The finish on this one is very odd but the badge itself looks fine to me. Too bad we don't have a side shot of the hinge as that could tell us if the badge was refinished. Reverse pin hardware was added to the badge after the finish was added, thus the actual hinge internals would not have any finish on them at all. See a refinished S&L badge that I will share after I photographed it. You can see the "guts" of the hinge hardware have finish on them, which shouldn't be. The last photo with the finish missing above the hinge area is because the faker that refinished it had the pin up while doing so, thus no finish reached under the pin area or on top of the reverse pin when he flipped it over (still up) to do the other side of the needle.

The color on the S&L is a more appropriate gold as well.

Us and them - and after all were only ordinary men. Me, and you - God only knows its not what we would choose to do. Forward he cried from the rear, and the front rank died, and the general sat and the lines on the map moved from side to side.
