original 1939 Verwundetenabzeichen im Schwartz?

Article about: Hey guys, just bought this Wound Badge at a gun show. Being that this is my first Wound Badge, I can't confirm whether it's a period original or not . I noticed there are a few paint chips.

    Hey guys, just bought this Wound Badge at a gun show. Being that this is my first Wound Badge, I can't confirm whether it's a period original or not . I noticed there are a few paint chips. Is this normal? ANY help would be appreciated!

    Not too strong on these but it looks like a nice original to me.

    I would guess more poor storage than being a ground dug find.
