Ok, lol - my fashion sense is not stuck way back in the 50's ! I needed a bolo tie
to do a couple of country music gigs about 15 years ago or so - there was a bit
of a revival in the 1990's. Would have LOVED a WWII wound badge slidey
thingy on it ! Besides, I only have the one. Templehof says he has 'ties'
    - meaning more than one - in his closet.........!
    Wanna buy it?.......

Now that was just a figure of speech.

But when a guy is so into bolo ties he's got the complex "bocabulary" down and is throwing around jargon like "concho slider", you know that guy is SERIOUS about the bolo lifestyle!

Ya know....this badge(if it is/was an original) is already pretty well screwed Anyway....so if a person was to, say, chemically strip it down to clean off the crud from it and then rhodium plate it...it would make an interesting Bolo clip indeed....lol

    Hello all,

The badge that started the thread is 100% authentic. It is a worn example, in zinc that more than likely had the catch broken off. The poor solder job appears to create a rivet on the reverse of the badge, but it is not a rivet, just a blob of excess solder. Why that clasp was put onto the badge who knows, nor do we know where the other half of it may be....at any rate, a heavily worn late-war badge in zinc.
