    Hi chaps,

I really want to buy a gold wound badge but, as you know this is a pricey item and I was wondering if you might give me some opinions on authenticity on some of the ones I have seen on a few websites. Not necessarily thinking of buying from any of these don't worry, just wondered what you thought of the gold wound badge on them:

    Centurion Militaria
A mid-war Gold Wound Badge, by Carl Wild of Hamburg
WW2 GERMAN GOLD WOUND BADGE. | Spandau Militaria Shop

Any other good websites for militaria buying in the UK/Europe would really be appreciated.

I would stay well clear of Spandau Militaria.

    Try Klaus Butchek or GreatMilitaria.com

I just bought a few items from Butschek Antiques and was very pleased with the whole process. He has a pretty good selection and a great reputation, not to mention he's a sponsor on this site. You definately can't go worng there.

And the L22 badge being offered by them as above is, I'm fairly sure, a fake.

A good one. I can't see any appreciable differences.

I think you're right Ned. I was being put off by the soft details.

I'm not convinced the finish is original though, what do you think?
