    Nice badge. The Grossmann design was also used by Deumer at some point, and L/11 badges are more easily found. I believe that Grossmann & Co. was a Jewish company from Vienna, and as such was taken over, or at least run by, Ferdinand Hoffstatter & Co. at some point after the annexation of Austria.

    beautiful badge but I think its 41 Geb.BenderOberstien/Nahe.

    That Does look suspiciously like a "4" when you look at it. There definitely seems to be a short arm protruding halfway up from the right hand side of the 1st number. Good catch.

    Strange! it looks like 11 in one photo but 41 in another!..
