    It appears to be an original gold zinc badge that has absorbed almost all of it's finish. Are you sure that is stamped 7, not 4?

    I'm with Ralph, an original S&L zinc gold, pin stamped '4'.
    'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.

    There you go, just prooving my eyes ain't what they were. A 4 and not a 7. Happy with the outcome on this one for sure.
