Considering this silver wound badge for $90. I believe this would be zinc.

Broken catch but otherwise looks OK.

    No, nice original!
Other than the broken catch as Glen states.
These come with a low maker mark and a mid maker mark.
My examples have been posted here showing both of them.

I personally would never knowingly buy a damaged badge. It's a false economy thinking you're getting something on the cheap, you're not, that's why the vendor is selling it with the LDO case to sweeten the deal, and the case is not the best. A good conditioned silver badge with no damage can be yours for $50 or less, this one is worth a third of that so in essence you're paying around $60-$70 for a busted box and you'll have difficulty moving the set on should you decide to let it go in the future and will likely not recoup your outlay.

    Just my thoughts, Ned.

Absolutely spot on and the badge is still a broken one!

I wouldn't buy a broken WB either even if the box was a good one. It might be worth it in the case of a more rare item but not a silver WB. Wait for a badge that is not broken. BTW the cases are found on their own from time to time so that is another thing to consider too.

Again, just a matter of opinion but as Ned says this wouldn't be much of an investment!

Shame. I hadn't noticed the broken clasp, and the seller made no mention of it. I'm glad you all spotted that.

Thanks for the thoughts guys! I generally don't buy broken pieces, and there's lots of these around, so I'll be waiting.
