I was able to acquire this at a local Militaria show recently.
I am not going to say much about this one other than to say that all of the components are recognized as acceptable for an L/11 marked wound badge.
None of the finish comes off when wiped with acetone and a cotton swab.
Putting this one here for discussion,
    Ralph.

Hello Ralph. No doubt there will be naysayers with these hollow silver & golds. Personally I have an open mind with these & have a silver 81 integral hardware example in my collection. I seem to remember you having a hollow gold L/11?

    Regards
    Brett

    Thanks Brett!
I am of the same opinion as you, I try to keep an open mind, and, yes, I do have a hollow gold L/11.
I would not try to force my opinion on others, and hope that others would feel the same.
That is why I posted this example for discussion.

I found this one locally at a Militaria show and did not pay much more for it than a nice black example. So, I felt that it was worth the money to own it.
I have looked very closely and can find no traces of black paint anywhere. The quality of the finish leads me to believe that it is not a base coat in preparation for the final black paint.
    Ralph.
