    Hello there,

I believe this to be a Gold Wound Badge without any finish remaining.

Looking at the pin and the finish remaining on that, I agree with William although as there is no finish at all on the badge it's hard to be entirely sure.

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    Adrian.,

Is a typical unmarked 4 badge?
Why do you say that's a Gold Wound Badge without finish? because the painted pin?

    Hi.,

    Thank you all.
I've been compared to other similar gold wound badges, also with zinc construction, that lost all of its original gold finish, and also the pin retains all of the original gold paint.
The catch and pin hardware, looks like a unmarked PKZ 4, from "Steinhauer & Luck".
