Where would it be marked? On the pin? Could, in the absence of a makers mark, anyone say with certainty that it is a 30?

It should be marked like this. This is an example sold on militariaplaza.

It is not marked there. Have to see how closely it compares to a known example. Is there evidence of unmarked 30s? It would be cool to be able to id a maker. My silver is marked 100.
