Black wound looks original to me !!
Looks like a cast fake to me.........
Regards,
Steve.
can i ask you something? (i think its fake because ive never seen this badge with 3 rivets on the helmet)...so adrian its not a guess am i right?also the swastiga on the first one seems wierd looking
Looks like a definite Cast piece, to me. The bubbling on the inside of the helmet is very much apparent. Sorry.

Well if you compare the black one to the silver in the first post you will see the same three things. Two are rivets, the other is an air vent. Take a look at some WW1 helmets and you will see what I mean.
Steve has given a clue about it being cast. Look at the roughness on the surface.....

yes i know its a ww1 helmet but in these helmets they didnt put swastigas ...i think they were only in one rivet helmets and the air vent was covered by the swastiga
Take a look at some helmets, look at the air vents and where the rivets are.
Don't forget a fake badge will still have the details of an original. It's not just about one thing. Look at the size difference in the first post, the manufacturing technique, the reverse hardware, the quality.
The swastika is there because it's a Third Reich award, the helmet style because the WW2 style helmets hadn't been introduced.
