    I agree that this is often the case, Kar98. The seller actually thought this was British until I corrected her. I informed the seller it may have belonged to her father, but she was OK with parting with it.

    It's now displayed in a case I have with similar US awards. Thanks!

    Yuengling,
    I think you did extremely well on all these items. Congrats once again on your great finds !

    It is true that many times these U.S. Qualification Badges get mixed in with German stuff,
    and I think it has to do with the 'Iron Cross' motif in the centerpiece, but especially the
    'Marksman' grade badge which is just a plain cross !
