Article about: by Adrian I can't say for certain based upon these photos but based upon these photos I think it needs a closer look. There's enough to ask the question. Thanks adrian for your help. I have

    Hi guys I wonder if you guys can confirm that this wbig in tombak is original. IMO it looks good but though I´m not expert I would be very grateful if you could tell me if it´s good or bad

    Looks like a good early war unstamped Vienna Mint (30) round pin type, very nice!

    Is it the original finish though?

    Look at the dings on the helmet. The colour is exactly the same as the rest of the badge. If the helmet had been knocked, wouldn't the base metal be exposed in the recesses of the dents? Surely there would be some colour difference.
    To my eyes it looks like the whole obverse of the badge had been re-finished, hence the uniform colour.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
