Question Verwundetenabzeichen Schwarz 1939 with document - ok?

    Hi all,

I came across this, and as I'm a big fan of decorations with documents, would like to pick it up (there is also a Winterschlacht Im Osten for the same soldier). The badge looks good to me, but as it's unmarked, it wouldn't belong to the LDO box (should be an L marking, right) ? Could someone take a look and give me their opinion on this one?

    Many thanks!

Did the Black awards come in boxes? I've only seen paper packets.

    ?

    Thumbs up

I think that is a box for the miniature Mutter Kreuz.

Based on other posts I have found, I would say it didn't, and there is no L makers mark on the badge itself. Does the badge look ok? My thought would be yes, but of course I defer to those who have seen way more of them than I

The badge is original in my opinion, but it's classified as being by an unknown maker. I would tend to agree that the box is a later addition to the set, it's intent is to make the entire set more saleable but is not what one would expect to see in reality although private purchase BWB's do occasionally crop up in black LDO boxes.

Thanks for that Ned, much appreciated.

The seller has a number of decos for sale, including some mutterkreuz's, so it's also possible it's just a mixed lot. The price is fair regardless, so I might go for this one.

    Thanks all!
