    The pebbling around the helmet , should be uniform like on your example.

    Thats the easiest way to detect a fake, also and any signs of casting remains or bubbles in the surface, as TR badges where stamped not cast.
    I'd suggest looking at older treads regarding these, or any badge you might be looking for.
    This will show you what to look for and what to avoid, and if possible post it here before buying.

    The details of the hilts, swords, berries, wreaths, rear rivet, are all things that should be compared, or considered, when determining authenticity.

    The ribbon at the base can often be of a different shape on fake badges.
