the ifs looks fake IMO. Never seen a IFS with that kind of needle. You should take a straight front picture of both awards so we can see the details better.

/Greetings Mike
I think they're both OK, certainly closer shots are required.
The Infanterie Sturmabzeichen is a fake. There are very good mm "92" hero fakes out there but the SWB looks good to me.
Kind Regards,
János
I agree the Wound badge looks ok from those pics

"In all my years as a soldier, I have never seen men fight so hard." - SS Obergruppenfuher Wilhelm Bittrich - Arnhem
maker number 92 would be "Josef Rucker & Sohn, Gablonz a.d.N."
I agree that they are both indeed authentic. Although I must admit I was a bit startled the moment I saw the needle on the Inf.Sturmabzeichen, it appears to be a period substitute/replacement with the material at hand.
The Verwundetenabzeichen is made by Josef Rueckner & Son, Gablonz...
Enjoy! Glenn
Hello All
Straight away pics of the front and reverse are always best when showing a badge.
The Infanterie Sturmabzeichen is not a fake and the pin has not been replaced / repaired. The pin is correct for this badge, unfortunately the catch is broken off.
This Infanterie Sturmabzeichen belongs to the Vienna Design family and is mm'd for the firm of Rudolf Souval.
Souval along with Wiedmann are the only two known Infanterie Sturmabzeichen makers to use the so-called "wide pin" as a hardware set up on their badges.
These are difficult to track down with the Wiedmann being the toughest IMO.
Here is my Souval to compare.
Best Regards, fischer
Very Nice! I've honestly never encountered this type of pin on a Inf.Sturmabzeichen...I feel good knowing that I learned something new...I also know that I wish they were in MY collection! Cheers, Glenn
