    Hello everyone,

For several months I had my eye on this in a local shop but kept passing it by, even though the price was right. I'm not a big collector of Vietnam-era field gear but think this has a neat look and is pretty cool. The jacket is very light weight, nylon-like material and can be bunched up and stored in the front pocket (at least I believe that that is the case....haven't quite figured out how it works). I'm doing some research on it now but if anyone has information or comments, that would be great. Thanks for looking.

    Nice find mate,
Rare different colours (probably home Aussie use) rather than normal Aussie Vietnam worn jungle camo.
I've seen Bramac smocks the same as yours , made in Aussie Jungle Camo.
They also made Hootchies , Half Shelters & Hootchie carriers in camo.
Here is my Aussie jungle camo lightweight smock to compare colours.
    Cheers Rick

Here is my 1968 version by Conway Bros of Adelaide. Colour variations will be due to photographic differences or material batch variation. The smock packs into its own pocket by simply turning the pocket inside out and stuffing the rest of the jacket into the pocket.
Also in the photo are my collapsible water canteen and hutchi carrier which are made from different fabric but similarly camouflaged.
