    I like Boonie hats. I have a "Hat Jungle Type II"
    From what I've read. It was post Vietnam, issued to Rapid Deployment Forces
    and to Seals and Delta.

    I find that it works well for keeping the sun off me when I'm mowing the yard.

    I'll do some pictures tomorrow.
    It's a brown copy of ERDL but slightly smaller.

    A lovely mint ERDL example Rene. I actually like this type and wear a Thailand made replica. They've been copying this design since the 1960's and the one I bought some years ago in Thailand used recycled Woodland fabric.

    Here is mine.
    Sorry for the bad pictures. I took outside pictures to get the natural color
    and of coarse it was trying to rain on me so things were a bit rushed.

    Thanks Greg nice one 1980 yes? I'm thinking your boonie is a match to my trousers that I've been told are the not so common Rapid Deployment Forces pattern type?
