    Various plastic-covered pocket books were used back then. The Engineers one is an Aussie reprint of the British version (note Aussie NSN). Much of the information is still current today.

    If you only ever purchase one Aussie manual from the Vn era then this is definitely the one. Probably loaned to all new recruits and National Service men, I have the 1965 and 1970 versions. You can see from the contents list the number of subjects designed to assist the new soldier (and usefull to us as researchers).

    Not really a manual, this is the corps list of Australian Regular Army officers from 1968. Everyone in the ARA from 2LT upwards is listed by their corps as well as an alphabetical index. Let me know if you would like me to check a name for you.

    Very interesting!! how far back does it go? can you look up a J "Jock" Burns? 2LT at the time. Funny he was promoted later on to MAJ......
    ended up being a LTCOL on retirement.
