Your claim is correct - a cast fake !

Attached are images of the "two variants" of the Studentenbund buckle, being die stamped aluminium of course.

Have just noticed that you have just asked for help on another forum in connection with this buckle. Always good to obtain a second opinion of course, however like yourself, I/we know that this buckle is a cast fake.

Yup...another cast example. This is one buckle that has yet to find its way into my collection. I just have not had any luck finding an authentic example to add to my collection. Always the one that gets away!
