    Z, that is a very nice and interesting buckle, and I am with you that is it probably an early buckle. With the brass prong sleeve and flattened out prong ends normally found on imperial buckles. I also love the "G" in Gott, the extended end of the "G" is very nice. Has anyone ever seen marked buckles with this type of "G"? We might find a maker for the buckle

    Great looking buckle and a very distinctive G. The Eagles head and neck is also very different.
