Hello,

original steel buckle that has been dipped in a phosphoric acid solution in order to take off the rust

It would have been better to avoid such treatment and keep the rusty patina

Thats what I would have said, but again for a ground dug buckle that has been treated its not in that bad condition, I have seen much worse

Accepts state buckle is not the best. but not too bad.

I bought a buckle and considered. I think a buckle isn't dug out of the earth and not processed by acid. On a buckle reverse side there is a lot of original paint. The buckle face side is cleared mechanically (abrasive).
