    This one came to me in need of some loving tender care.

    Nice early 1930's manufacture with field grey cap band and no schumi or cork board help dating it to about 1933. The lining is a nice blue cotton and the diamond celluloid gives us the maker and the place of purchase.

    Once it had been cleaned up the insignia I had just slotted into the holes already in the cap band. The maker was from ulm allowing us the opportunity to place the right cockade on it (württemberg).

    Overall an improvement I think !

    There has been an eagle on there at some point in it's life.

    Probably used TR I suspect, as many things were - same day different regime !

    Being a purist I've gone for the original look..........
