Australian 303 Rifle

Article about: Hi Fellas, I have a 1943 Lithgow SMLE III* My Question is,Is there a Data base or register of serial numbers anywhere. Im just wondering if its possible to track a rifle,from its manufacture

    nice collection Dave, I would love a british made No1 MK 111. I have a BSA& co made rifle but its a earlier MLE

    Hey Wow,thanks for all the replies fellas,I really appreciate it.
    Id better show you my two L.E's.
    One is an original 1943 Lithgow,
    The other is a 1941 Lithgow,converted into a sports rifle.
    I havnt been shootn for a while,but both still shoot straight and true.

    Hi Mick,
    Very nice mate, they look really good i would like to fire mine but as you may know they are deac here, i would like a lithgow but they seen to be hard to find over here. but maybe one day it will come along, Thanks for showing your rifles.

    Very nice collection indeed. I used to have a deac 1922 Lithgow No.1 Mk3. but its since moved on. I do have a deac 1917 BSA No1 Mk3 though. Not an allied weapon collector but I go love the LE.

    I agree, those racks are great. How about some info on them. Are they home made from plexoglass? Did you buy them from a dealer? Need some data!

    I got them on eBay a year or so ago, made of glass look Perspex. They came in from the UK. Will have aloof through my links and see if I can find a name.

    If you fellows don't mind, I'd like to chime in here and show off my newest addition to my war dated Enfield collection, my 1944 dated Lithgow
    No.1, Mk III* that I took posession of last week.
