Default 1871 Remington Rider Magazine Pistol

OK, so it's not military but too cool not to share. I have a 1871 Remington Rider Magazine Pistol, in great shape that I am selling soon. It is marked, Remington & Sons. Ilion N.Y. Riders pat. aug. 15TH 1871. It is between Good and VG condition. I would value this one at about $1500.00. I thought some would appreciate the design of this one. It has a magazine for 3-4 .32 Short cartridges in the tube below the barrel. It operates like a semi auto with out the gas. You pull back the hammer which ejects the old shell and as the hammer goes forward it chambers a new cartridge. The smaller hammer stays back until you fire the gun. Then you repeat the process. It is the only one I have personally seen like this. I just thought I would share this before it goes away to a gun collector as these are fairly rare.

    Thanks
    Burt

    Hi Burt,
Nice pistol i like to see the older stuff, they were so simple to make at times, but iv never seen this type before the earliest handgun i have is an 1867 Webley No1, R.I.C, with unfluted cylinder, it is an early Ser No of 245, out of 90,000.
