Hi, this one is from a friend, an ex navy, retired officer.
    Its live and legalized.
Too bad its rusting away in a damp cellar.
In spite that, its a portuguese contract with matching numbers and beautiful to see.
Well stamped. Its great to smell the history of this beautiful work of art.
    Enjoy.
    Cheers.

Why would someone neglect such a fine rifle? It's still a cool rifle regardless of the rust/pitting

    Awesome rifle!

My Type 38 Arisaka was in similar shape and I was able to bring it back to life! If you'd like tips on how to do the same, don't hesitate to contact me!

Hi, does anyone remember the original condition of the k98?
It has become a recovery project for sometime now.
    Still, not finished......

    Enjoy my work so far.

    Cheers

    Looking good, Nuno!!

This project of your reminds me of my two Arisaka projects. It's a wonder what a little TLC can do!!

What are the laws in Portugal? Can you fire this?

    Thanks Joe.
Its looking beautiful, just the way an historic weapon should be.
Yes, in a range, during an event.
Inserted in the historic weapons category.

    Cheers

Excellent, I hope you take that opportunity! It's a real rush to restore a piece of history like this and then hear it ROAR!
