I thought id share this beautiful 1944 Izhevsk Tokarev tt-33 i picked up this weekend at a show. All numbers match including the mag and its fully functional. The ammo is even 1945 surplus which is plentiful at my local gun shop. Only down side is the holster is cold war period. It took a whole two hours to strip the gun and clean all the old cosmoline out of it from 50+ years in storage but I cant wait to try her out at the range soon.

Gorgeous pistol, shoots a great round. Shoot the surplus stuff for practice, but Wolf Gold if you are using it for personal protection. Wolf Gold FMJ has highest commercial loaded velocity for the money.

dont know wether its fortunate or unfortunate but no self defense carry in Canada but yes i agree its a great looking gun, cant comment on the handling until i make it to the range this weekend but ill take your word for it. BTW whats the best way to clean these after using corrosive?
