Post 'em when you can! I'd love to see it
Amazing Garand, George...
Best regards, Thanos.
Thanks Thanos!
I hope you know that you are one lucky bastard haveing a nice M1 Garand like that!
My 'mint' M1 is original and unissued from September '45 - just after WWII ended,
but I've seen some current restorations that would literally knock your socks off.
These are around $1500 to $2000 ! ( That is what I expected mine to be
worth by now. I've owned it for about 24 years and never fired it. )
It has a US ordnance/acceptance eagle and stars stamped on the left side below
the reciever, and the refinished models I saw recently do not. If anyone here
has heard of or read:
'US Rifle M-14, From John Garand To The M21'
I bought the M1 from the author - R. Blake Stevens, and I suppose
he may have picked it up at the Springfield Armoury while
doing research for the book.
Pictures to follow.........
Regards,
Steve.
I'd love to see it Steve, and since we're talking about M1's, here's the follow up on the South Korean M1's State Department Reconsiders Blocked Importation of Korean-Owned M-1 Garands - HUMAN EVENTS

Very nice Garand!!
The 'Korean' M1's probably range from poor to unissued condition. In Canada there was an 'influx' about 15 to 20 years ago where some well-used M1's were likely imported
from Korea. These sold for $199, or $299 for a 'choice' example. Overall condition
was rather poor, but occasionally you would see a real nice one.
I have also have a Korean War era M1 which is marked 'AA' on the stock
for 'Augusta Arsenal' in Georgia, where it was re-worked in the 1950's.
I'll post some much better close-up shots of the 'mint' M1 Garand,
which is the one on the bottom in this crummy photo.........
Regards,
Steve.
Nice Garands fellas. I would like to chime in with my 1942 Lend Lease Garand. It went across the pond and back and is in next to mint condition. Here are a couple of pics. I also have a 43' 44' and 45' Garand.
