I don't think the value would be much more than a conventional more common production date. But it is just nice to have and makes a good selling point.

I thought that would be the case, its just another little interesting thing about it which sets it apart from the rest

i have a 1942 .... love to shoot it ...... got mine at a gun show for $100 .... what a bargan ....
Sorry to chime in on an old thread but that's an amazing looking m38 very very rare 1945 date! Looks really well built (fit and finish) most of the other 45 dated mosins I have seen still look a little rough..
