Could you provide a photo ? The 'standard' Long Land
Pattern was just over 62 inches long with a barrel
    length of 46 inches.........

With the fact that the forend wood reaches the muzzle, and there
are four ramrod guides - I'm guessing, but it could be a fowling
piece incorporating period Brown Bess parts. A competent
gunsmith could have made a reasonably close match
    to the original military stock.

Are there British proof marks or anything at all
    stamped on the barrel.........?
    Regards,

    Steve.

I can barely make them out due to pitting, but it does have the two marks

The reason I think it may be a rework - besides the length, is also
because there does not seem to be enough wood around the
lockplate, and the buttplate seems to sit on top of the wood,
rather than being inletted into the butt itself.

Perhaps a pic of the other side of the lock ? There should
be a contoured brass bracket holding two large
    lock screws.........
    Regards,

    Steve.
