Hi, here is some info I found on another forum about German WW2 "schalldampfer" silenced firearms. There are many good original photos that many may not have seen. You have to read the whole thread to get all the info and complete picture.
Apparently the development "code name" for the silenced weapons was "HUB-L" or "Haube" which means "hood or cover"
This is what is stamped on this flare gun I show, "HUB"
In the thread they show many weapons they made schalldampfers for. This flare gun is not listed, but it says it not a complete list.
This info fuels my feeling this might be an original Schalldampfer flare pistol I show.
