Looks like an MP40 mag to me mate!! I've got one in my collection in exactly the same condition! It was found in Arnhem!

It was found in a retreat area together with other disgarded german equipment, but today a friend doubted about it being for a MP40. I made a search on google and those I found where in fact different. But I'm no expert on these things, so maybe there were different mag types?

Hi Bill, do you have a better shot of the mag itself? There were no allied troops where it was found and it would be a bit out of place as a ground find here.

Bill you spotted it right. There is no doubt, it's my relic mag! This leaves me wondering how it arrived there. Did they use these guns in southern Europe or supplied them to yugoslav partisans?
