I have been searching everywhere but I am unable to locate any decent information on this pistol I got at an estate sale. It looks to be made of brass and weighs a few pounds and 13 inches long, the strike piece that it would hit is broken off. I don't know if this is an antique really old toy? a black powder pistol? the value? the age? (It says 1821 I believe on the top of it but not positive)

Any information would be awesome, if your interested in it I would cut you an incredible deal if you helped me out. The pictures of it are here:

To me it seems like a fantasy piece, not sure it could have fired a bullet ever.
1821 would be the time when percussion guns where made and no longer flintlocks....

Nothing more than a decorative toy.

It's typical of the Spanish made stuff, Pistols, swords, axes and maces, made for the booming tourist industry in the 1970's. Frankly, in that condition, it's worth practically zilch. Sorry.

Typical 'wall hanger' decorative piece and not
a real firearm - possibly made in India........?

    Hi,
I totaly agree with the others if that could fire it would blow some fingers off, thank god it cant.
i think 1821 woud have been around the time of percussion caps !, It,s not worth bothering with.
