    I dont know for sure, but it reminds me of one for an AK47.

    It is similar to an AK but i havent seen one with the grip so high..slightly different construction http://www.buymilitaria.com/ak_image...TBUTTSTOCK.jpg

    Yeah it was just the tubular construction and knurled grip that made me think

    its got me stumped...the makers mark is a hammer and whats the other thing?

    Maybe Russian SKS? I will have to see if I can find mine when I get home.
    The chinese and russian ak kits if I remember right are smooth on the outside.
    But this looks like and early Russian SKS..

    i had a Russian and a Chinese SKS (before they became illegal here) im sure they were both smooth

    It is a rectum cleaner for post artillery, rocket and mortar round bombardment.
