    Who knows, maybe they made great funnels or rice scoops or coconut openers or even some other odd ball use in the field that is lost to history.

    I have another observation on dust covers... I have never found one on a Japanese sniper rifle....BILL

    Interesting, Bill! I wonder if they left the arsenal with dust covers in the first place?
