There are so many problems with these things that it's not really fair to call them controversial anymore. They are fake without a doubt, and it doesn't take expert knowledge to determine that. Besides the general James Bond ridiculousness of it, half of them feature a Heer tunic eagle and the other half have a known fake pattern SS cap eagle. Besides that, they look nothing like any buckle of the Third Reich, least of all an SS officer's. It's amazing that this claptrap item made it into Angolia's book without the word "fake" stamped above the photograph in enormous red lettering.
