    Question

Interesting. First time I've ever run across that info. The 51. & maby 52. are Scottish Highland divisions.
Guess, maby (?), I'll keep my eyes open for a nice No 5.

You can see the rubber buttpad and flash hider indicating a No5 at 4:44.

Troops are either 51st Highland or 52nd Lowland, also note the windproof smocks.

I have seen a few other uses of the No5 in Northwest Europe, but this is the first one that comes to mind.

On that note, I have heard that the No5 was also "used/trailed" at Arnhem (along with supposedly the Patchett Machine carbine) but without any real proof confirming it, it is hearsay in my opinion. It seems like every new weapon or radio (including a few that didn't exist until 1945) the British army had around the time was "used at Arnhem", but it seems the origins of these rumors are often of dubious origin on internet forums.
