Not yet it's not arrived if you type it I'n to google the one I brought is on there ! But I just wanted to know wether by changing a mag that has been altered by the proof house would I be bracking the law ?

Re: Can I replace the magazine on a deactivated gun ?
Not at all, there is nothing in the deactivation standards that say magazines have to have work done to them so they cannot hold rounds. I would find it very unusual if there are proof stamps on the magazine to be honest.
Thanks

For the particular (former) weapon you have bought, I think that it will be quite difficult to find a replacement magazine as there arent a lot of Universal's in the UK.
Thanks

Re: Can I replace the magazine on a deactivated gun ?
This trend of cutting away the feed lips on mags is not a legal requirement, but it is done if the gun is submitted for proof if the mag is left in place. Simply a case of things being done "over the top". No problem at all to replace this with a correct unmodified example as these are sold freely.
Cheers, Ade.
