    Howdy Partners,

I found this old Colt yesterday, and i thought that you might enjoy seeing it. The gun has condition issues, but nothing
that i can't live with. The butt shows evidence that it was used as a hammer once. Maybe it was used
in the "Wild West" to hang a wanted poster, that or mend a chicken coop. As always, I look forward to your input!
BTW serial number is in the 129XXX range.

    Howdy Mart,
Looks like a nice rode hard an put away wet Colt. I have a .44 1858 Remington so I have a sweet spot for these BP puffing dragons.

May have been used as a club-you only get six shots and that's only if everything works correctly!
I bought a Uberti .36 Colt navy 1861 just to have an example of the percussion type revolver.

    Mart,

As Phil said. Rode hard for sure. But a great piece of history. Great find!

    Great looking revolver!....
It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

    Thanks Phil,

"Rode hard and put to bed wet" is a accurate description of both the pistol and its new owners condition.lol
A stock would look "awesome" on this, but have you seen what they sell for? For now I'll
be happy if i can find a "period" holster for it.

    Keep your powder dry,

P.S. Are you going to show us your "58"?

Very nice find Martin. Serial no. puts it in the 1863 date of manufacture. As always wish it could talk and tell of it's experiences. Thanks for showing.
