Colt 1911A1

I'm not sure if this Colt1911 A1 is original or replica
It is a american pistol sendt to Norway under ww2 to the Norwegian Resistance (Milorg)
But I have my worries, is it real or is it faked and been dugged down under the ground for some months?

There is no markings like numbers, only US 1911 etc..
and there is this "Bolt" I belive, it is so loose, is that normal?

I don't think Colt would ever make anything that rough. Looks like a non shooting replica to me, Just my 2 cents worth. Mike

sebastian can you take a picture of the barrel does it have any rifling in the barrel a non firing replica will be smooth whereas a live/deact will have some visible rifling similar to picture shown below

ps mike bear in mind that it could well be nearly 100years old its not going to look brilliant

It is a Japanese made replica. The slide markings are a big giveaway.

Hi Tom, the pics of the slide markings are all there, several of them.

Just Google "1911A1 67 autoloading pistol"

Tom, You're not missing much....the crude slide markings read "1911A1-67 Autoloading Pistol Caliber 45 - US Army Model" Somehow, I suspect that Colt did not Make this..

If you look at the one picture showing the chamber there is a anvil to fire a cap on. Crude but working replica for countries that don't allow pistols.

Definitely not a genuine Colt inscription. Normally there is a series
of patent dates inscribed on real 1911 slides.

BTW - genuine old .45 barrels in these pistols 'rattle' somewhat.
Tolerances were not like they are today.........
