A couple of new Mosin-Nagant M91/30's

Article about: Hi guys! Here are my first purchases of 2014: A 1943, ex-sniper Ishevsk M91/30 and a 1938, all matching Ishevsk M91/30. The dark one is the ex-sniper, which was once fitted with a PU scope.

Very nice rifles!! Now you need to restore that ex-sniper!!
    That's the plan, actually.

I should hopefully have that done by June or July. You did a great job on yours.

DANGER DANGER Mosin's can be very addictive. They are still reasonable priced and there are lots of variants to chase after.
So good start. They make repro PU scopes that you can slap on that sniper if you want?
Welcome to the club. Pick up the North Cape book on them will be of great help to you.
Oh believe me, I've been hooked for a while. My first rifle was a 1944 Izhevsk M91/30. Then I picked up a 1944 Izhevsk M44 from Gander Mountain. Then I found a 1940 Tula at another Gander Mountain. Then I got these two. I will hopefully add a Finnish model in the near future.
