    Hi guys!

    Here are my first purchases of 2014: A 1943, ex-sniper Ishevsk M91/30 and a 1938, all matching Ishevsk M91/30.

The dark one is the ex-sniper, which was once fitted with a PU scope. The other one is just really nice. They were on sale, so I picked them both up. As per usual, they came with the bayonets, oil containers, and cleaning kits.

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

DANGER DANGER Mosin's can be very addictive. They are still reasonable priced and there are lots of variants to chase after.
So good start. They make repro PU scopes that you can slap on that sniper if you want?
Welcome to the club. Pick up the North Cape book on them will be of great help to you.

This is a '43 Tula ex-sniper that I restored using an actual '43 Progress scope and an original mount. The only repro part is the mounting rail - they are very hard to find and even when you do you have to make sure it has the proper offset since the Soviets used 3 different spacings. The original scopes are still around - and they don't really cost more than the repros, if you shop around.

    Before and after pics.

And this is my restored '42 Izhevsk ex-sniper - this has an original scope, mount. The rail is probably Soviet but may be late/post-war.
