Nice example Bill, i thing the G33/40 where made from those VZ33
The early examples of the G33/40 have also the "z in a circle" proof mark
on some parts of the bolt.
Bill ; The bolt looks for sure to have been rematched by a german armorer. Although scarce I would not call the Vz33 rare. I would call the cleaning kit for the butt trap rare though. I thought the CETN was like a finance guard org and not police ?.
Noel Schott some year ago bought a crate of imported vz33's and he managed ata the time to put together around 4 complete buttstock kits and a couple partial others. These rifles were not refinished oddly enough and varied form fair to poor conditions. Sadly though he sold off everything in retirement about two years ago. Now you need to find a CETN marked bayonet for your rifle.
And of course the Vz33 spawned the G33/40. Alot of the first run of 33/40's used some Vz33 bits.
PS - I think you posted this rifle on gunboards too as it looks familiar.
CETN was the Czech marking for the Police and FS was the Czech marking for the Finance Organization....

Hi guys, first post here but, I noticed that the rear sling swivel is mounted incorrectly in the pictures. The sling loop should be on the left side not, the right side. Just an observation.
Be well.
