An early K98k, stamped S/42G for Mauser, Oberndorf 1935.
Also WaA211 markings and K167 inspection marks.
The barrel is very good.

Yes, this k98k rifle obviously had a very quiet war - perhaps in Denmark?
Unfortunately, the stock has been varnished, I will remove this at a later date.

Fine old German workhorse Mauser! Personally, I don't know if I would bother with the stock-it looks fine just as it is!
