    Default Enfield ammo?

Hello Everyone...I have a question about the kind of ammo to use in an Enfield, #2 mark 1A*?...made in 1941.
    The revolver says...707"3.5 tons
    NO.38.
I don't want anything to powerful for this oldie. What would be the least powerful cartridge to use?
I noticed that there were many 38 andEnfield ammo?Enfield ammo? SW to choose from.

My first post here...hope the pic comes up.

    Thanks in advance.

You could try .38 S&W wadcutters they are pretty much plinking ammo with low pressure and recoil. Or there are 'cowboy action rounds' available in the States that are low powered too. The round will barely penetrate a wooden block at 25 feet, I used them for plinking when I was over in Montana a while back.

Those should work fine - and are very reasonably priced.
38 S&W is not very powerful to begin with, and were
originally LRN, so I can't see a problem.........

Bummer - I have a bunch of Webley .455 1943 ammo for sale on GB.
    No .38 though.

You're wise to keep it low powered.
    Try cowboy action ammo, too.
