Hey guys I came across this adapted k98 magazine. Supposed to hold 10 rounds instead of 5. Other than I'm sure it's post war, has anyone seen these or know what the manufacture mark is? Thanks again!

I know these extended 'trench' magazines were used during the First World War. I'm wondering if this is one of those, intended for the G98 rather than the K98. I can't help with authenticating this piece, but I know they certainly did exist.

    Regards, B.B.

I found this old thread from another forum to be a very interesting read related to this magazine.

Need some info on a K98 magazine?

So apparently there are reproductions of early originals. Not knowing the difference I think I will pass on this one.

Damn. Even then the fact I haven’t seen one listed as original from a search on other forums. I think you were good to pass on that one.

What is this unusual magazine with chain? - Wehrmacht-Awards.com Militaria Forums

Here is someone on the WAF forum with the exact same magazine as the one you posted. Same stamp. The reception was fake at least for his one.
