The German WW1 flammenwerfers had two type of tanks, internal and external.
The Small flame tanks had a ball tank contained inside the top that contained the pressurized gas. The tank was opened and pressurized the fuel, some models with the internal tank had a seperate line externally conected to the outside top of the fuel tank, some had regulators so the pressure tanks were charged at high pressure. Either way the pressure pushes on the top area of the fuel causing it to act like a piston pushing the fuel out. The WW2 single tank flame tank on the Flammenwerfer 34/35 exhibits no external pressure lines or filling ports, was it just filled with a volume of fuel, purged of air and pressurized? Does anybody have a copy of the manual or a sectional drawing that they might share?
Thanks in advance
