FN model 1903, 2 variations.

Hi again!
I thought I should show you two variations of the FN 1903-pistol.
First picture is a gun I bought from the Swedish "homeguard"(Hemvärnet in swedish). It is made in the FN factory in Belgium.
Caliber is 9mm Browning Long which is a cartridge slightly longer than the 9mm Parabellum. Is is also weaker than the 9mm Para.

Second picture is a similar gun, but made by license to Husqvarna Vapenfabrik in Sweden.
Apparently Sweden bought around 10 000guns from FN and after that started own production.
Many of the Husqvarna guns have a sandblasted finish which give them a rough and dull look.
They are fun to shoot, but I rarely hit anything with them.

Two very nice Swedish Service pistols... Most of all these '03 pistols in the USA have been converted to .380 Automatic.. The round was shorter than the 9mm Luger (Parabellum Ctg..) Not longer..., but longer than .380 auto which is the same as 9mm k... BILL

Thanks Bill for your kind reply.
I prefer my guns in an unmodified state.
I like shooting the 9x20mm original caliber.
It is a semi-rimmed straight-walled cartridge case firing a 110 grain round nose full jacketed bullet at 1,100 fps
Cartridges are getting more scarce, but still not a problem.
I might show a few FN guns in 9mmKurtz/380Automatic next time.
