    Default FN model 1910

    Hi.

Here I show two FN 1910-guns.
They were produced in two different calibers, 7,65mm Auto(32ACP) and 9mm Short(380ACP).
You cant tell any difference between the calibers until you look into the barrels or read on the barrel in the ejectionport.
I have included a barrelpicture showing the difference between the two calibers.
These guns have been sold in huge numbers and used until not long ago by many police forces.
One of the guns in the picture have the serialnumber 19199 and according to some sources the gun that was used by Gavrilo Princip to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria in Sarajevo on June 28, 1914 had the serialnumber 19074.
These are nice guns to shoot and cheap to buy if you live in europe.

Nice, I like the 1910s/M1922s also. Do you know how to date them by the number of slide serrations on the different models? I think they ran the same serial numbers on the M1910s before and after WWII and one way to tell is the slide serrations and the type of grips if they have not been changed.

I had no idea you could date the FN 1910 by counting slide serrations.
Sounds a bit confusing to use the same serialnumbers more than once.
Thank you for the information, I still learn new things every day.

    nice pics.
    Just a few questions.
The gun in the barrel pic on the right, I assume that is the 7.65mm (auto acp 32) barrel version?
Also any idea what year a serial # 135617 would be from?

    Thx

    Hi spikedbat.
The gun on the right is the 7.65mm(32acp), that is correct.
I recommend you to contact Browning.com.
For a fee they will give you date of manufacture and more.
I have never tried this customer service, but I might one day.

    Hello MrVip.

Is it really the same gun before and after?
It looks very good and very expensive.
Was it done by FN in Belgium?
Please start a new thread and show us more guns if you have them.

    Best regards
