    Congrats on assembling this collection.

My favorites are the underdogs of Spreewerk (cyq) but really tough to be the wuality of the early Walther (AC)

Map I do grab one to shoot a couple of times a year. None are good enough to be safe queens. Thank you for the nice comments. I am going to dig out the P38 holsters since it is still -8F here

John what is the letter block on your late byf44?Here is my latest Mauser P38 ,its in the e block,a SVW45 , with late pebble grain cxe4 holster.Mauser changed the code in 1945 to SVW on p38s but many leftover byf44 slides were still being used in 45.I had a matching byf44 in the early f block that I sold to an advanced collector a few years ago, it was the latest german produced one I had ever seen.

Though these pistols tend to be overshadowed by the Luger in terms of collectibility, they are works of art in of themselves. I have only one; a deactivated 'cyq' produced in July of 1944. How very fortunate you are, not only to be able to own such an extensive collection of P38's, but to be able to own them in working condition. Magnificent!

    Regards, B.B.
